How often should I get a dental clean?

The frequency of dental cleanings will depend on your individual needs and the recommendation of your dentist. In general, it is recommended that most people have a dental cleaning every six months.

However, if you have a higher risk of developing dental problems due to factors such as gum disease, smoking, or a history of tooth decay, your dentist may recommend more frequent cleanings.

During a dental cleaning, a dental hygienist will remove plaque and tartar (hardened plaque) from your teeth, as well as polish your teeth to remove any surface stains.

Dental cleanings are an important part of maintaining good oral health, as they help to prevent tooth decay and gum disease.

It is important to follow your dentist's recommendations for how often to have a dental cleaning. If you are unsure of your individual needs or have any questions, it is always a good idea to consult with your dentist.
